Credit Controller

Key Responsibilities:
  • A successful a candidate for this position will have strong skills in enforcing credit management systems and practices in the organization;
  • Providing aged debtor reports and ensuring management are kept abreast of any defaults beyond stipulated timelines;
  • Liaise with other departments on collection of outstanding amounts;
  • Carry out reconciliations of debtors and institute actions against bad debts;
  • Responsible for ensuring completeness of all legal documentation relating to bad debts and;
  • Provision of information to external auditors on debtors and ensure that client's statements and demand letters are sent out at the end of each month.
Job Requirements:
  • Credit Management Technician Certificate level II
  • CPA /ACCA Part II or higher or its equivalent
  • 2 years relevant experience in similar position

Senior Technical Specialist 

(Early Warning) (1 Post) - (REF: EAC/HR/O36)

Grade :  P2 Equivalent
Reports to : Early Warning Expert
Organ/Institution: East African Community Secretariat
Station : EAC Secretariat Headquarters, Arusha, Tanzania

Main Purpose of the Job

Support the operationalization of the EAC Early Warning Center through the design and implementation of the EACWARN integrated ICT support system.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and maintain integrated EACWARN report templates
  • Design, implement and supervise Quality Assurance (QA) and update procedures for continuous monitoring and maintenance of all EACWARN data
  • Design, implement and support the population of a structural attribute database for EACWARN
  • Ensure a close working relationship on all technical issues and system operations between EACWARN and the EAC ICT Department, AU Continental Early Warning (CEWS) and the NEWCs Qualifications and Experience
  • Masters degree or equivalent in computer sciences. Information technology.   Computer engineering, or a related discipline;
  • Understands fundamental principles of computation; and scientific computing including simulation, optimization, and data analysis, design and analysis;
  • Hands-on skills of web based applications and online presentation to inform different audiences;
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating work with different stakeholders at various levels;
  • At least five years of relevant experience in implementing and managing one or more of the above areas with preference to Conflict Early Warning systems;
  • Proven proficiency in English (both, oral and written) is required. English is the official language of EAC.
Terms and Conditions of Service

This position is EAC-GIZ Program funded and is a non established position whose contract terms are limited to the period of support (June 2014); it may be renewed subject to adequate performance and extension of the funding. 

The post offers attractive consolidated remuneration package.

  • Promotions
  • Liaison with Marketing Manager & Sales reps regarding promotions
  • Planning, co-ordinating and attending promotional activities
  • Meeting with clients to discuss upcoming events, proposals and follow up
  • Visit key customers in order to plan for promotional activity and confirm details and requests prior to every promotion
  • Booking of promoters through agencies/ booking private promoters
  • Recruitment of promotional staff in line with the image of the brand and target market

  • Preparation of POS items for all wet tastings

  • Effectively organise the promotional resources and measure the return on investment for every promotion
  • Downloading and organising of photos for promotions and displays in outlets
  • Collect promotion & event feedback forms and photos from sales staff who attended events you could not
  • Provide the Marketing Manager with a report post every promotion & event
  • Submit a “Promotions planned” calendar weekly.
Job Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Experience)
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word – basic level, Excel and Power point – advanced level, Outlook, Compact (Internal programme)

  A leading player in the global Ice-Cold Merchandisers (Beverage Coolers) market seeks to recruit a Technical Manager-Customer Service.

Main Purpose

Manage the activities of customer service team, sale of post sales services- post warranty, service and asset placement in the market.  

Technical training and support to the service provider and the company customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Post-Sales Services Proposals and contracts to customers.
